A 3-HOUR INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP
Stop Carrying Everyone Else’s Backpack
For capable, conscientious people who are tired of carrying everyone else's shit.
You’re capable. You’re conscientious. You’re the person people count on.
And somewhere along the way, you may have become the person who carries everyone else’s shit, too.
This workshop is about figuring out the difference between genuinely helping and taking responsibility for things that were never yours to carry.
In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll explore:
• Why capable, responsible people so easily slip into overfunctioning
• How to recognize when helping has turned into carrying
• What actually belongs in your backpack—and what doesn’t
• Practical ways to put some of the weight down without becoming an asshole about it

IS THIS FOR YOU?
This workshop might be for you if:
• You’re the person everyone comes to when something needs to get done.
• You find yourself solving problems that technically aren’t yours.
• You have a hard time watching someone struggle when you know you could fix it.
• You’re tired of being the reliable one—but you’re not quite sure how to stop.
• You sometimes wonder, “Why does everything seem to become my responsibility?”
• You want to be helpful without constantly ending up exhausted, resentful, or carrying shit that isn’t yours.
WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH
By the end of our time together, you’ll have:
• A clearer understanding of overfunctioning—and why being highly capable can sometimes become a trap.
• Language for recognizing the difference between helping, supporting, rescuing, and carrying.
• A better sense of what actually belongs in your backpack—and what you’ve picked up along the way that doesn’t.
• Practical strategies for putting some of the weight down without swinging from “I’ll handle everything” to “Not my fucking problem.”
• A little more permission to let other capable people carry their own damn backpacks.
MEET LYNN
I’m Lynn Dutrow—a coach, counselor, speaker, author, and recovering overfunctioner.
For more than 30 years, I’ve worked with smart, capable, conscientious people who are really good at taking care of things—and sometimes not so good at noticing when “being responsible” has quietly turned into “being responsible for everyone and everything.”
I created this workshop because I know this territory from both sides of the room.
My approach is practical, curious, compassionate, and occasionally salty. We’re not going to spend three hours talking about how to set better boundaries.
We’re going to get curious about why you keep picking up the backpack in the first place—and what might happen if you put some of it down.
READY TO PUT SOME OF THE WEIGHT DOWN?
Come spend three hours with a small group of thoughtful, capable people who are ready to stop carrying quite so much.
